Raised in a centuries-old tradition and sustained by a modern revival in Celtic Music, these artists represent a broad spectrum of players, from local session regulars to internationally-celebrated rock stars of folk music. Among each other, the music they play is often referred to as “trad”, short for “traditional”, but many of them have taken the music to new and fascinating places that, while rooted in the past, draw from diverse influences and inspire the musicians of the future.
