Carnevale in Venice has come and gone and I had planned to post updates all along, but I kind of got swept up in it all, staying up late and sleeping late, getting lost in Venice, etc. They say that this year was not so good for Carnevale, the weather was bad for a lot of it and it came too early in the year this year. And the organization was a little haphazard. My biggest beef was that they canned the big closing ceremonies, parade, speeches and fireworks for a reggae concert. Very anticlimactic.

Nonetheless, it was a great trip and I made some really good friends in Venice. Big thanks and shout out to Manuel, Michele, Andrea, Sandra, Valentina, and especially Edoardo, for making me feel welcome in their town.

Okay, so some pics:
