Time to move on, time to get goin’…Nothing beats the midwinter blahs better than a trip. At the moment I’d like to think my destination is some sun-and-surf drenched island populated with willing bikini-clad nymphs, but I think I’ll get over that fantasy once the boat pulls up to Piazza San Marco and drops me off in Venice. It’s Carnevale, baby! Time for two weeks of overcrowded streets, opulent masquerade balls, and photo-op overload. Currently however I am enduring a super-frigid New York weekend, a little holed up and lonely despite beers and brunches with friends. Guess it’s just time to get goin’. I was lucky enough to catch a little rain on my arrival, which yielded a few good shots. More later.
